Why did this firm start?
During my time at a Big 4 accounting firm in New Zealand, I observed a smart and efficient model: while much of the routine work was outsourced offshore to manage costs, the final review and sign-off were always conducted by experienced senior professionals in New Zealand. This ensured high-quality outcomes without compromising standards — a model that worked well for large corporations with complex needs and deep pockets.
However, I also saw a significant gap in the market. Many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and sole proprietors simply cannot afford Big 4 fees. As a result, they often end up receiving subpar or generic accounting services that don’t truly support their business growth.
